Named to remember RCAF Flight Sergeant Alexander Swiderski, R60293, from Fernie. Serving with the 9th Sqn, age 22, when his plane was shot down 12 June 1942; all crew presumed dead. With no known grave, Sergeant Swiderski's name is engraved on the Runnymede Memorial, Surrey, panel 107.
