Alexander Caulfield Anderson's 1867 map labels "parc" in this vicinity, perhaps meaning "corral". Trutch's 1871 map labels Park Rill, flowing into "Chutes Lake" between "Vasuix Lake" and "Osoyoos Lake". Note that Rill is an old term for stream or rivulet, derived from the Dutch ril or Low German rille.
