Adopted 9 September 1924 on Geological Survey sheet 2044, Creston, flowing into Duck Lake, as labelled on BC Lands and Works map "Eastern Part of British Columbia", 1888, and on Jorgensen's 1895 map of BC, and on "West Kootenai District" published to accompany Geological Survey report of George Dawson, 1890, etc... Location description amended (date not cited): flows northwest into former channel of Goat River as compiled on Columbia Basin manuscript 5, 1946. Location description confirmed 20 July 1990 on 82 F/2, as verified by Creston Valley Wildlife Management Authority: flows northwest into Old Goat River Channel, thence into Duck Lake...
