Named to remember Canadian Army Trooper Victor Magnus Thorhavur Palsson, M17521, from Arras (near Dawson Creek); serving in Italy with the 14th Armoured (Calgary) Regiment, RCAC, when he was killed in action 1 October 1943, age 25. Tpr. Palsson is buried at Bari War Cemetery, Carbonara, Italy, grave III, C, 6. Survived by parents Asbjorn and Bergros Palsson, Arras.
