Named to remember Canadian Army Private Roy Edward Ovington, K76223, from Aleza Lake, BC; serving with South Saskatchewan Regiment, RCIC, when he was killed in action 28 August 1944, age 19; buried at Bretteville-Sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery, Calvados, France, grave XIX.E.7. Pte. Ovington is survived by parents John and Sarah Ovington, Aleza Lake.
