Origin Notes and History:

Mount Ambition adopted in 1935 on Canadian Geological Survey sheet 310A, Stikine River Area. Form of name changed to Ambition Mountain 6 May 1954, the long-standing local name, used by riverboat navigators, and prospectors. Origin/significance not recorded. Also Endeavor Mountain.
