Name suggested by H.B.M. Oil Company, after Mrs. McFadden, wife of the Vice-President of Marland Oil Co. She accompanied her husband to this mountain last fall on a hunting trip and is the only white woman to have gone up there. (K.F. McCusker, DLS, 1927).
