Named to remember Canadian Army Lance Corporal James A. Forddred, K47135, from Sardis. Serving with Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment, RCIC, when he was killed in action 24 May 1944, age 23. Buried at Cassino War Cemetery, Italy, grave XIII- B- 18. Survived by wife Iris Forddred, Vancouver, and parents George and Jean Forddred.
