Adopted in 1935 on Geological Survey map 310A, Stikine River Area, as identified on International Boundary Atlas (BC - Alaska) maps, and in the 1930 BC Gazetteer. Subsequently re-approved on 104G and 104 F. (Names list, R. Dickison February 27, 1930. Board File 1274).
