Mount Fizzle adopted in 1935 on Geological Survey sheet 311A, Stikine River, as submitted by geologist F.A. Kerr (file S.2.30, Ottawa file 1274). Form of name changed to Fizzle Mountain 20 January 1955 on 104B.
