Banquo was suggested because of the mountain's proximity to Duncan Lake: Banquo and Macbeth were generals to Duncan, the 11th century King of Scotland. Macbeth rose to the throne after killing Duncan, and later arranged Banquo's death. Also Mount Banquo nearby.
