Origin Notes and History:
Adopted in 1935 on Geological Survey sheet 309A, Stikine River, flowing south into Chutine River just above Wriggle Creek, as labelled on BC map 5C, 1929; an established local name used by navigators on the river and by prospectors. Altered application 6 May 1954 on 104G; flows south then east into Wriggle Creek. Re-approved 17 June 1975 on 104G. Altered application 24 March 2004 on 104G/12; this creek flows south into Chutine River, as shown on 1929 & 1935 maps, and on new 1:20,000 TRIM maps.
