"Brook Creek (not Brooks Creek nor Pass Creek)" adopted 19 July 1938 on Geological Survey sheet 421A, Hope, as labelled on BC map 2B, 1914, and on R.D. McCaw's 1925 topographic map "Otter Creek & Vicinity", and as identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer. So-named in association with Brookmere (station).
