Balmoral (Settlement) adopted in the 1953 Gazetteer, as listed in 1948 BC Directory; name confirmed 1 October 1959 on 82L/NW, at 50 50 - 119 20. Location adjusted to 50 51 - 119 21 and form of name changed to Balmoral (Community) 29 July 1983 on 82 K/14, as identified by Regional District (March 1983 letter, file S.3.27).
