Ballenas Channel adopted in the 18th Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 31 March 1924, in association with Ballenas Islands and as labelled on BC map 2A, 1913, not "Ballinac Channel" as mislabelled on British Admiralty Chart 585, published in 1864 from surveys of 1860, etc.
