Possibly named after Dr. Charles Camsell, CMG, LLD, FRSC, FGSA, MEIC, (1876- ), employed by Geological Survey of Canada for 42 years; 26 years as Deputy Minister of Mines; retired 1 July 1946. Note however that there is no evidence in BC mines reports that Dr. Camsell worked in the Stuart-Babine area, so this origin theory is suspect.
