Named to remember Canadian Army Private Matthew Aylmer, K65654, son of Hon. Basil Aylmer and Mrs. Aylmer from Queens Bay; serving with the Canadian Scottish Regiment, RCIC, when he was killed in action 1 July 1944, age 27. Buried at Beny-Sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery, Reviers, France, grave VII- B- 14.
