".... was formerly known as Warden Peak in association with Portcullis Peak. After the tragic death of Warden Goodair in the Tonquin, the new name [is] suggested in his memory. His remarkable character and true love of the mountains made a deep impression on all who knew him." (January 1934 letter from Alpine Club of Canada, file J.1.34)
