Origin Notes and History:

Name used since the 1880's, according to 1933-35 correspondence on Chart 327 file. When Mr. Parizeau (Hydrographic Service, Victoria) suggested in 1933 that Long Beach be changed to Wickaninnish Beach many objections and protests were made. Long Beach was finally adopted 7 January 1947 on 92F/4.
