Extends from the vicinity of the confluence of Callazon Creek and Pine River 25+km in a southwesterly direction along the east side of Pine Pass and Atunatche Creek to Stack Creek, a tributary of Misinchinka River.

Named by the Forest Service, after N.F. Murray, who in 1915 with G.V. Copley, had conducted the first detailed survey and timber reconnaissance in the area for the BC Forest Service. Murray enlisted with the CEF and was killed at Vimy the following year. See Murray River for additional biographical information.
