"La France Creek (not Lafrance)" adopted 21 October 1903, as labelled on 1895 map of British Columbia. Re-approved in the 18th Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 31 March 1924, for Ottawa file OBF 0073, now 82F. Re-approved 4 September 1947 on Columbia River Basin manuscript 8.
