Origin Notes and History:

Local name for the second of the three summits that comprise Mount Seymour, encountered after Pump Peak when hiking northward from the parking lot/trailhead. Seen published on Park maps and in brochures.

Pump Peak name originated with the party that first climbed Mt. Seymour in 1908; the summit between Pump Peak and the main summit of Mount Seymour is sometimes called Second Pump or Second Pump Peak or Second Peak. (Info from Glen Woodsworth, Geological Survey of Canada, date not cited.)
