Origin Notes and History:

Toquart River adopted 17 July 1945 on C.3627, not "Toquart Creek" as labelled on BC Lands' map 2A, 1913 et seq, and as identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer. Spelling changed to Toquaht River 1 April 2011, per the provisions of the Maa-nulth Treaty.
