Origin Notes and History:

Mineola Post Office was opened 1 March 1916, located on Lot 2558 Osoyoos District. The area is generally known as Meadow Valley, located on the Brigade route between Kamloops and Penticton. Mineola Post Office was closed 30 April 1923.

"[Meadow Valley] was a community of 125 people in 1920, with a school of 25 pupils, a store and post office at Mineola. This was created by a farming community and a large sawmill that moved out in 1923. Now there are 10 families in the valley, dependent on farming."
