Origin Notes and History:
Stikine River Recreation Area established by Order in Council 474, 14 March 1987. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation and upgraded to provincial park status, to be called Stikine River Park, per Bill 15-2001: Protected Areas of British Columbia Amendment Act 2001, 11 April 2001; the whole containing 257,177 ha. more or less.
