Origin Notes and History:
Sowchea Bay Recreation Area established by Order in Council 1129, 10 August 1989, the whole containing 13 ha. Status changed to a provincial park, to be called Sowchea Bay Park per Bill 17-2000: Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, 29 June 2000; the whole still containing 13 hectares (4 hectares upland and 9 hectares foreshore) more or less.
