Translation: "beach at hind end". The name has also been written huxwiay'lis. Another name for the site was Atlalko. Principal village of the Hahuamis until sometime after 1865 when the Hahuamis joined the Gwawaenuk and the Tsawatainuk [Dzawada'enuxw] at Gwayasdams.
