Babine Mountains Recreation Area established per Order in Council 676, 4 April 1984, containing 32,400 ha. Name confirmed 19 December 1984 on 93L/14,15 and 93M/2. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation and name changed to Babine Mountains Park per Bill 86, Park Amendment Act 1999, 28 June 1999, the whole containing 31,465 hectares more or less.
