Origin Notes and History:
Blue River - Black Spruce Park established per Order in Council 590/96, effective 30 April 1996, containing 175 ha. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation and the name identified as Blue River Black Spruce Park [without the hyphen] per Bill 50-2004: Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole containing approximately 172 hectares. Boundary adjusted 10 March 2022 per Bill 3: Protected Areas of British Columbia Amendment Act, 2022; an addition of 59 hectares; the whole containing approximately 231 hectares.
