Named to remember Canadian Army Private Peter Gatey, K100074, from Port Hammond, serving with the Westminster Regiment (Motors), RCIC, when he was killed in action 2 September 1944, age 23. Pte Gatey is buried at Montecchio War Cemetery, Italy, grave III- E- 11; survived by his parents Michael and Mary Gatey, Walpole, Saskatchewan.
