Chutine Landing (Settlement) adopted in 1935 on Geological Survey sheet 309A, Stikine River, North (file S.2.30). Form of name changed to Chutine (locality) 6 May 1954 on 104G. Name rescinded 26 February 1987 on 104G/12. See Chutine River.
