Descriptive name, given in 1897 for the outlook to Venn Passage. Structural work in Prince Rupert Harbour has obliterated the natural feature, and the Fairview Container Terminal is located in this general area. "Fairview Point lay 8 cables [1483m or .92 mile] north of Casey Point."
