Discovery Post Office was opened 1 July 1899, located at Pine Creek, about halfway between Koosawu Áa (lake) and Atlin Lake. This locality was labelled "Pine City" on BC Reference map 52 (date not cited). Discovery Post Office was closed 18 December 1930; settlement long since deserted according to September 1951 advice from Government Agent (letter, file A.1.51)
