Chatsquot Mountain adopted 7 February 1947 on 93/SW as an established local name and as identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer, not Chatsquot Peak as labelled on topographic plan 3T255 of Range 4 Coast District, by Frank Swannell, BCLS,1920-21-22.
