Name required for a water licence; in the absence of any known local name, "Craibenn" was chosen to recall the name for GTP's station near the mouth of this creek, in turn an amalgamation of the names of section foreman D.A. Craig and yard owner J. Bennett. [name changed to Lamming Mills station by CPR in 1946.]
