Origin Notes and History:

Sandy Island Park established per Order in Council 1710, 7 June 1966. Name changed to Sandy Island Marine Park 22 August 1988 on 92F/10. Redescribed per OIC 1201/90. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 17-2000: Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, 29 June 2000; the whole containing 18 ha. more or less. Name changed to "Jáji7em and Kw'uhl Marine Park (a.k.a. Sandy Island Marine Park)" per Bill 49-2012: Protected Areas of British Columbia Amendment Act, 31 May 2012, the whole containing approximately 30 hectares.
