Identified as "Alkali Lake" in 1918 surveyors notes (Field Book 119/18, ph 17, p.54 & 54A); changed to Mahoney Lake presumably to avoid duplication. Refers to John Mahoney, who pre-empted Lot 521, 10 February 1908.
