Origin Notes and History:

Carpenter Reservoir adopted 7 June 1951; form of name changed to Carpenter Lake 5 July 1951 on 92J and 92NE.

After Mr. Carpenter, who first came to BC from the United States in 1909, with the firm Sanderson & Porter, and who was responsible for much of the early design work for the Bridge River project, and for the tunnel construction carried out from 1927 to 1931; retired 1944.
