Origin Notes and History:

Decision in 18th Report, as named by BC-Alberta boundary commission while surveying here August 10 - October 18, 1917; the peak overlooks Lucerne Station, in turn named in 1912 by CNR officials because of the resemblance of the surroundings to Lucerne, Switzerland.
