Chimdemash Creek adopted in the 1930 BC Gazetteer as labelled on BC map 3D, 1919; not Chimdemash River as labelled on sheet 1 of G.M. Dawson's 1879 map "British Columbia & Northwest Territory from Pacific Ocean to Fort Edmonton". Incorrectly confirmed as "Chindemash Creek" on 4 November 1948 names list for 103/NE. Spelling corrected back to Chimdemash Creek 2 December 1948 on 103/NE. Chimdemash Creek confirmed 4 October 1951 on 103I.
