Origin Notes and History:

Liard River Hotsprings Park established per Order in Council 957, 26 April 1957. Confirmed 2 October 1978 on 94 M. Boundary adjusted per OIC 361, 12 March 1992. Liard River Hotsprings Park converted from OIC to Statute designation per Bill 53, Park Amendment Act 1995, 13 July 1995, the whole containing 976 hectares. Area added and spelling adjusted to Liard River Hot Springs Park (ie. Hot Springs as 2-words) per Bill 86, Park Amendment Act 1999, 28 June 1999, the whole now containing 1,082 hectares.
