Salmon Arm (Post Office & Station) adopted 3 November 1932 on 82 L/NW. Form of name changed to Salmon Arm (Village) 1 September 1958. Form of name changed to Salmon Arm (community) 1 September 1970, following amalgamation of the village area within District Municipality of Salmon Arm.
