Origin Notes and History:
Established by Order in Council 2964, 18 September 1969. Area extended per OIC 2284, 5 November 1981, and by OIC 1183, 9 August 1989, and by OIC 0799, 14 June 1993, the whole now containing 129 ha. more or less. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 53: Park Amendment Act 1995, 13 July 1995, the whole still containing approximately 129 hhectares (101.2 hectares of upland and 28.6 hectares of foreshore).
