Kinnaird (Post office) adopted 6 December 1951 on Columbia River Basin manuscript 14. Form of name changed to Kinnaird (Town) 5 August 1967. Form of name changed to Kinnaird (Station) 20 August 1979. Rescinded and incorrectly identified in Ottawa files 20 July 1988 (without signature from BC) with notation "Cross-Reference: Castlegar".
