Origin Notes and History:
"Beaverfoot Range of Mountains" adopted in the 5th Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 30 June 1904, in association with Beaverfoot River. Form of name changed to Beaverfoot Mountains in the 18th Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 31 March 1924, as identified in the 1909 BC Gazetteer and as labelled on BC map 1EM, 1915. Form of name changed to Beaverfoot Range 3 April 1952 on 82N/SE, as widely identified in geological references (file Y.1.50).
