Origin Notes and History:

Drake Island adopted 6 April 1926 on Ottawa file OBF 0988, as recommended by H.D. Parizeau, Hydrographic Service, not "Limestone Island" as had been labelled on earlier British Admiralty Charts and on BC map 1K, 1925.
