Adopted in 1935 for Geological Survey sheet 311A, Stikine & Iskut Rivers Area - an established local name used by navigators and prospectors (February 1930 names list compiled by R. Dickison, GSC field staff, Ottawa file OFB 1274). Re-approved 20 January 1955 on 104B.
