"Rainbow Falls (not Azure Falls nor Angushorne Falls)" adopted 14 December 1970 on 83D, as identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer, and as labelled on BC map 1G, 1959.

Note that this is identified as Angushorne Falls in Geological Survey of Canada Summary Report, 1929, Part A, page 280 and Rainbow Falls is applied to a different feature: "...most streams enter [Azure Lake] over waterfalls, the largest of which are Angushorne falls near the east end, and Rainbow falls about halfway along the shore..."
