After Lt. Col Edward Gawlor Prior, commander of the 5th Regiment, Canadian Garrison Artillery, member of parliament, and Premier of British Columbia from November 1902 to June 1903. He later served as Lieutenant Governor from December 18, 1919 until his death on December 12, 1920 [the only Lieutenant Governor to die in office]. See also Prior Lake.
