Angus Horne Lake adopted 22 February 1963 on 83D, as labelled on BC Reference Map 11 (early 1930's). Some early maps used the form "Angushorne"

Angus Horne was an old timer in the Blue River District (his map of the area is published in 1923 BC Mines Report, p.157; his signature appears on 14 April 1936 letter, "...Cedar Lake now named Angushorne Lake..." , file 34275-S).
